I am a FAN-boy!

It is kind of strange... the engineering on the Gotway Monster include 2 fans just under the PCB and the mosfets ...BUT there is no air intake and basically the fans only whisp the hot around in a closed space... what is that, really ???

If you ride hard you will push the machine to its limits and generate a lot of heat ...when hot the efficiency will get worse and worse and thus you will generate even more heat if you continue to push for the power

at 80degrees Celcius the machine will cut out from overheating

I had a heat-cut-out once on my MSuper2 on a VERY hot summer day 2016 ...nocked me unconsciuous for 15 minutes and I broke 2 ribs

I have had 4-5 warnings on my Monster since 2016 and lately it became worse ...so I decided to do something about it!

----

I installed a fan ...blowing the hot air OUT OF the machine and I also created a real air intake

Both can be "plugged" if it starts to rain

the intake is a DIY top of a PET bottle (!) and a motorbike airfilter attached using velcro

the pabst fan is directly above the internal fans

result?

after pushing my Monster as hard as I could in the forest riding fast ...it did not reach more than 35 degrees Celcius

riding slow uphill pushing the motor but going slow ... it reached 44 degrees

before I had easily around 70 degrees and also got warning beeps (scary if you ride hard uphill and the directly downhill and you get the warning and tiltback when speeding downhill...scary as fuck!)

so that is why I am a fan-boy ...it feels good to know that the heat does not stay inside the machine

below some pictures

have fun ...have fan!

the motorbike airfilter ...attached by velcro

the air-intake PET bottle top

the air-intake from the outside

the air intake can be closed by the pet bottle cork

the motorbike airfilter in place held by velcro

the placement of the fan under the side cushion/pads

the air outtake can be plugged if raining

drilling the hole in the cover to fit the fan opening

the leather covers the "outblow" so the air is blown backwards down and is not directly "open for dirt"

maybee in the future we will get a well engineered EUC with military grade components on the card,
state-of-the-art software and real ventilation

until then I go for DIY ...
